The blogosphere is having a hissy fit from the Alaska 2025 Summit, Friday August 15th, condemning every little detail of the behaviour of the two presidents. The only disgusting parts were that the presidents had to walk up to the greeting platform between the noses of F-35 fighters while a bomber formation flew overhead and The U.S. President still doesn't know that the Commander-in-chief does not salute the honour guard.
Yes, T. Rump (Tyrannosaurus Rump) pulled this meeting together quickly to take off heat from the Epstein issues, among others. But look—the nuclear war threat was just greatly reduced. Isn't that worth something? Recent work by the War Lobby was pushing the nuclear war threat to the limit—brinksmanship, in other words. That should never be contemplated, yet they pushed it to the max. A U.S. Four-Star General (Donahue) has mused about a quick-capture of Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. And they have plans for that drawn up! That this is a direct threat to Russian sovereignty and security doesn't seem to bother anyone. Then the T. Rump deploys more tactical nukes on UK military bases. Then, following a "mean tweet" by former Russian President Medvedev (Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation), the T. Rump had ordered two Ohio-class nuclear subs with Trident nukes on board, to closer locations off Russia's shores (this was BS, usually they lie quietly on the ocean bottom, part of "Second-Strike" capability). This is another direct threat to Russian security. As a result, Russia says all constraints are now (obviously) off, and they will place whatever military resources wherever they want. The War Lobby thinks that they can win a nuclear war against Russia. That would require a decapitation strike on Russia PLUS taking out every one of their missile bases and submarines, etc. Even if that was successful, the resulting nuclear winter would do you in. That is very unlikely since their "Dead Hand" system (officially "Systema Perimetr") would find a way to launch something and hit the USA (from a SONAR21 post by Larry C. Johnson).
From Chuck Baldwin, © 2025, on Don's Substack:
"But the vacuous Donald Trump says that the U.S. is 'fully prepared for nuclear war with Russia.'"
"I'm telling you, Trump is nuts! He is delusional! He has zero concept of reality. Let me ask the reader something: Are YOU fully prepared for nuclear war with Russia?"
"We are talking about no electricity; no food in the stores; no gas at the pumps; no oil or propane; no medicine at the pharmacies; no working hospitals; no purified water; no sewage treatment plants; no garbage pickups; no sanitation of any kind; no diapers for babies; no milk for babies; no police departments; no fire departments; no law and order; unarmed people won't survive a month; the sick and infirm will die; the very young will die; people with serious diseases will slowly die for lack of medicine; and the unthinkable list continues to the extremity of the imagination."
"And a news flash to all of the Scofield evangelicals: YOU WON'T BE RAPTURED TO HEAVEN BEFORE THIS ALL HAPPENS. You'll either be killed in the initial blasts or you will endure the suffering described above along with the rest of us."
At the meeting in Alaska, apparently T. Rump got a fine history lesson from the President of the Russian Federation and his aides, being some of the world's best diplomats. The U.S. team would have heard something like Don Hank related in his recent post: Timeline of Ukraine war shows Russia's incursion into Ukraine was NOT "unprovoked" as falsely reported in Western media – "It is hard to understand the backstory of how the Ukraine war got started, and if all you are reading is the msm, you never will learn it. That's why most of the West is demonizing Russia today."
However, if the quality of Russian diplomacy is so great, will the President of the Russian Federation please explain why this Special Military Operation was necessary? Weren't diplomacy and/or various ultimatums adequate? There should have been a better way than ruining the best farm land in Europe. Do read Don Hank's post, it also has photos and videos of the 8 years of attacks on the people of Donbas by the Kyiv government up to 2014. First it was bombings, then shell attacks, and the shrapnel shells injure more people. I can see from substack stats what (small) percentage of readers open any of these links-if you miss them, you are skipping a lot of good info.
A number of subscribers still cling to the notion of this "unprovoked invasion" by Russia; if you are in that camp, the next "Section A" is for you. Otherwise skim through it to see if you want to save any of the references and begin again at Section B.
To buy into the "unprovoked invasion" you are ignoring what was essentially a genocide of the Russian-speaking population in the south-eastern oblasts (as mentioned above), ignoring the CIA-led regime change (Maidan uprising), chasing out a democratically-elected leader who made the "mistake" of having congenial relations with Moscow and ignoring the build-up and stated goals of NATO, resulting in a proxy war between "the West" and Russia, with Ukrainians being taken for fools and suffering greatly for Western schemes. Yes, poor little Ukraine! With likely over 8 million losses so far! Yet it is the people of Ukraine who are being used (in its most pejorative meaning) as tools to advance yet another of the Empire's geopolitical machinations to achieve unipolar manifest destiny, to conquer Russia and then China, to attain total world dominance. Thus, USA (not Russia) owes Ukraine massive reparations.
What was John McCain doing speaking to the crowd at the Maidan uprising in Ukraine and why was Victoria Nuland handing out cookies? Condescension in exchange for regime change? To learn more about the Maidan events, d/l this book in PDF by Ivan Katchanovski: "The Maidan Massacre in Ukraine – The Mass Killing that Changed the World" (Palgrave/Macmillan) from Springer in PDF here. Ivan Katchanovski is at the School of Political Studies & Conflict Studies and Human Rights Program, University of Ottawa. Here are two quotes:
"The different narratives of the Maidan massacre and regime change in Ukraine have complicated peaceful resolutions of the conflicts in Crimea and Donbas and Russia–Ukraine and the West–Russia conflicts, which escalated, respectively, to the largest war in Europe since World War-II and a proxy war between largest nuclear powers. Bringing the actual perpetrators and organizers of the Maidan massacre in Ukraine to justice can help resolving these dangerous conflicts."
"This false-flag killing of the protesters and police, along with several assassination attempts that followed, led to Yanukovych fleeing Kyiv and then Ukraine and to the violent overthrow of the Ukrainian government. The false-flag massacre was a key part of the violent undemocratic overthrow of the government in Ukraine and a major human rights violation and crime."

The result of the Alaska 2025 summit could lead to more
congenial relations between US and Russia, or it could be a step
toward
A. Wess Mitchell's proposal (August 2021) to get Russia
weakened then onside for the final conflagration - taking down
China. This link is from a
SONAR21 post by Larry C. Johnson.
Quoting from Larry Johnson:
"This is not just some average former US Foreign Service officer opining... Mitchell has sterling academic credentials and served as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs during Trump's first term. Mitchell is currently the head of a think tank, and from that perch he was tasked by the Pentagon Office of Net Assessment with writing a longer version of this paper, which was delivered to the Pentagon in the Fall of 2020. In other words, Mitchell was asked to provide the US Department of Defense with a strategic vision for dealing with Russia and China."
Quoting from Mitchell's paper:
"THE GREATEST risk facing the twenty-first-century United States, short of an outright nuclear attack, is a two-front war involving its strongest military rivals, China and Russia... Given these high stakes, avoiding a two-front war with China and Russia must rank among the foremost objectives of contemporary U.S. grand strategy..."

Europe, as represented by the Seven Dwarves at the White House meeting, absolutely needs a war to boost their sagging economies, since their entire societies are in terminal social entropy. Bear in mind that war is a 100% destructive use of resources and a false contributor to GDP and a failure as an equivalent to national purpose.
The Russian invasion in February 2022 was a poorly-planned op
to try to take Kyiv directly by land from Belarus, which, like
previous attacks on Ukraine via this route, quickly got bogged
down in mucky soil, not to mention poorly maintained tires and
vehicles. These delays were a likely contribution to Russia
offering an alternative to war via the
Istanbul Communiqué of March 2022. Key Russian
proposals:
1. Ukraine's Permanent Neutrality and NATO Exclusion
2. Security Guarantees with Veto Power: A critical condition
proposed by Russia was that any activation of security guarantees
(i.e., military assistance to Ukraine in case of an attack) would
require unanimous consent from all guarantor states, including
Russia itself.
3. Limits on Ukraine's Military
4. Territorial and Legal Concessions: Russia sought de
jure recognition of its control over Crimea and de facto
recognition of Russian-held parts of Luhansk, Donetsk,
Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. The status of Crimea was proposed to
be negotiated over a 10- or 15-year consultation period, during
which Ukraine would pledge not to attempt retaking it by
force.
5. Role of Guarantor States: The proposed guarantors included
permanent UN Security Council members (Russia, US, UK, France,
China), potentially granting Russia and China veto power over any
response to future aggression via the UNSC framework.
The Istanbul Communiqué was rejected out-of-hand by Ukraine and its backers, primarily UK and the U.S. Why were Russia, UK and USA the signatories to the 1994 Budapest Memorandum? The UK operates as a sovereign but integrated 51st State in The Empire, a major proliferator of Russo-phobia worldwide. The actor Zelenskyy goes nowhere without his MI6 handlers; his supposed replacement (as intended by The West) is in training at MI6. For understanding this conflict, you need to read more of the history. Like I said back in May, Most history lies unread, while the unread lie about history. So, your choice, to learn or not.

Like T. Rump said at the presser following the Alaska summit, he was to call Europe and Ukraine to tell what had transpired, and Pres. Putin said the outcome of this meeting depends on T. Rump's success with managing those people (The Little Green Man and the Seven Dwarves ©George Galloway). Apparently they were all on the blower with each other while T. Rump was in Alaska, so when he called them they said they were all piling into planes to come to the Offal Awfiss. Right there he should have told them, no, don't bother coming to Washington, you are done, NATO is done, the US is out of Ukraine and I'm making final arrangements with the Russians. But no, they all piled in like school kids into class and T. Rump failed again by not strongly disagreeing with their requests. There he sat, behind the Resolute Desk, exhibiting zero resolve, bobbing his head with almost every word by the German leader Chancellor Merz. So T. Rump has failed to live up to his part of the Alaska agreement, by not cutting the Europeans loose. This little reprieve from nuclear war has been nice, but the "neocons" (as they call them in D.C.) and the Deep State will soon have T. Rump toeing the War Lobby line again. And if he gets out-of-line again, doing something like cutting off aid to the Zionist entity, he could go the way of Kennedy. And on the Russian side, same issue—if Putin is not successful with this detente with the US, he will also be gone, replaced by some real hard-liners.

T. Rump's spine didn't last a whole week. He caved at the Monday meeting with the "Seven Dwarves" ("the coalition of the willing") (willing to attack Russia), and the "Neocons" and Deep State have regained control of his tongue so that by August 23, he has again threatened Russia with sanctions if the war isn't stopped in 14 days. Number 1, you don't threaten sovereign states. You don't weaponize the currency as the Biden Incompetency did, further splitting the world financial system. Therefore the Peace initiative is dead, we are back to brinksmanship, The Guns of August and the lead-up to WW-III. It turns out that Sergey Lavrov was correct, he said that the U.S. is not agreement-capable, and sure enough, T. Rump could not bring the hammer down on the European clowns.
